On October 10, I placed an Amazon Fresh order. The order arrived over an hour past the promised delivery window. I contacted Amazon customer service immediately. Both the associate and the specialist I spoke with stated that because the delivery was late, I would receive a full refund. I have screenshots of this conversation confirming their statements. I never received a refund confirmation email, and no refund was issued. When I contacted Amazon again, multiple associates and supervisors acknowledged that they could see the prior chat where I was promised a refund. However, they refused to issue the refund, stating their system showed the delivery as "on time," even though two Amazon representatives previously acknowledged the opposite. Because I relied on the assurance that a refund would be issued, I was not home when the order was ultimately delivered late at night. The groceries remained outside my door until morning. Several perishable items spoiled and had to be discarded. I did not file a missing/damaged item report because I believed the promised refund was already being processed. Resolution Sought Issue the full refund that Amazon representatives previously guaranteed. • Review the mishandling of my case and the contradictory information provided by Amazon customer service. I am able to provide screenshots of the original conversation confirming the refund upon request.
