False Promises & Places Patients Health in Jeopardy

I totally agree with the previous review that was posted. This is a business with a history of poor care & lawsuits. Americare placed me in harm's way following my discharge from Inpatient Rehab. Once home, they were supposed to set up a Visiting Nurse evaluation of my situation and need for continued care. They were MIA & did not return my calls; once an appointment was set, they didn't show up or call. I had to advocate hard to get them keep the mandated assessment appointment by Visiting Nurse which needs to be done within 24-48 hours; they lie about appointments, don't return calls & cancel appointments 5 minutes before they are due to arrive; their needs assessment is flawed & it delayed my getting appropriate & necessary care. I also plan to investigate their billing practices as I suspect Medicare fraud.

Find people who really cares about the patient's & families they work with.

They don't answer the calls, they hang up on you if you complain, sometime they don't answer the phone. They send aids who doesn't do anything. They just don't care at all. They are the worst. How they got five stars is unbelievable. For a few years my naighbor has been going through changes with them. I've worked the field never seen worst agency like BKLYN American. Find people who really cares about the patient's & families they work with. And better workers in that agency. I would give them NO STAR if I could.
