A customer should not have to argue for what they want.

Upon check in from booking.com I asked if they had a handicapped room. They said yes but since it had two beds the cost would be $105 with a $50 deposit. I said no, I would take the room I had booked. I was told I cannot have a regular room. After waiting for the assistant manager (over 1.5 hrs) I explained to him that all I wanted was the regular room. He was firm in that because in my booking I had requested a handicap room he could not give me a regular room?? FYI My handicap is a missing lower right leg from mid shin. I have a prosthetic leg. After a lot of back and forth he finally agreed to give me handicap room at same rate. 20 minutes later manager checked to see if all was alright. I would like a written apology and clarification that something like this will be dealt with in a much better way should it happen again. A customer should not have to argue for what they want.
