Freezing Account and Not Paying Property Tax
In November 2021, I received an email from Sacramento County Tax Assessor regarding our property tax. Since our loan had been sold to Dovenmuehle in November, I called them to verify that they were going to pay our property tax installment due December 10th. The person I spoke with said "NO" they weren't because our account was on hold because it was being sold to another mortage company so they wouldn't be issuing any payments. I asked who the mortgage was being sold to so I could contact them. The person said she had no idea, the account was just flagged as being sold. I've made two payments on this mortgage with Dovenmuehle and am concerned that they won't post them and then they will come after me and take my property. I have no control who my loan is sold to. I paid my installment for my taxes out of my pocket even though enough money was withheld when my new loan was finalized through the original company. After reading some of the other reviews I'm very concerned that this company is pulling a mortgage scam on me to take possession of my property.

They wrecked my escrow and are making me pay for their mistake!
I am not going to waste a lot of time recollecting all of the garbage I have gone through with this company, suffice it to say, between the CFPB, the Better Business Bureau, and the California State Attorney General, I have filed over a dozen complaints regarding them forcing me out of forbearance early and the miscalculation of my deferment plan to the tune of $1700, which resulted in an escrow shortage. One which they have taken no responsibility for, and continue to expect me to make up the difference by padding my escrow impounds and forcing me to pay hundreds of dollars more per month than I should be obligated. If it were not for all of the lies that have been told to me over the phone, I would chalk it up to incompetency. But after seven months of inaction and bold faced lies woven into response letters to the CFPB, I can't help but to consider these people to be con-artists, working under the guise of a mortgage servicing company who are deliberately clouding people's mortgage accounts so they can steal your home at auction at a later date. I'm a realtor who passed business math, and accounting with A grades. There really is not excuse for the type of mistakes these people are making and then forcing consumers to come out of pocket to overcome $200-$300 increases to their monthly mortgage payments, just to keep their homes. For more details, just search them on the CFPB website and see for yourself. https://www.consumerfinance.gov/data-research/consumer-complaints/search/?date_received_max=2021-10-20&date_received_min=2020-03-18&page=1&searchField=all&searchText=Dovenmuehle&size=25&sort=created_date_desc&tab=List
