hello my name is charles cobb III I purchased my 300z from a private owner who met me at dr. z's auto shop. He wanted to show me who he goes through for all his work. dr. z was there and told me "We will take care of you if and when you buy the car. I was a little hesitant but after a test drive I decided to buy it. Since my purchase I have gone to Dr.z to have him check on or work on things I needed. Every time I have come in they have stopped what they are working on to attend to me instead of ignoring me saying they are too busy. A lot of it has been minor repairs which they have stopped to fix for me. With them I have done my (brakes, battery work door lock throttle work radiator air conditioning,) All the repairs they have done, have been honest and truthful telling me what to expect. They have done what they have said, "well take care of you" My car now runs like a champ. I feel confident going there for all my advice or recommendations. Sincerely, charles cobb III

Satisfied with my purchase and their service

I read negative reviews about Dr. Z throughout the 300zx Internet Forums, Facebook and through Google’s search engine and felt like I had made a mistake purchasing the Z from Dr. Z since he had such a negative reputation amongst other Z owners. I decided to find out for myself and moved forward with the purchase of 1990 a 300zx Twin Turbo from Dr. Z Tuning June 9, 2013. I noticed the car had an oil leak and was smoke would come out from the exhaust when it was cold. I addressed the issue to Sam “Dr. Z” and he stated that he would be glad for me to represent his shop and would service my vehicle. I liked his attitude and I made an offer and he accepted. He said that he would guarantee his work regarding the servicing of my Z. I thought to myself, how can this guy have such a negative reputation. Once he serviced my engine, I noticed it running a lot better, it was no longer leaking oil; however, the smoke remained. I addressed this issue with him and he stated that this was more than likely a problem with the turbos which were still under warranty from Godspeed. The turbos were replaced this weekend and the car is running smoothly. Everyone at the shop is very friendly and knowledgeable when it comes to Zs. Mike Z Man has been the guy working on my car and really knows his stuff. I’m glad I didn’t follow the crowd and used my own perception to determine as to whether or not I would do business with Sam “Dr. Z.” I don’t know what to say in regards to the negative reviews; however, I had a fantastic experience. I proudly have the Dr. Z Tuning sticker on my Z.
