Eagle Moving Group complaints

Eagle Moving Group is a scam company!!! Eagle Moving Group stole $700 from me!!! They completely lie to you and quote you a price and then double it once you have already given them the money up front. They charged my credit card half of the $1400 fee to move our belongings to Florida. When I figured out that they were a scam I tried to cancel within the allotted time but they would never answer the phone again to receive my cancellation. Then when I figured out another way to contact them, they said it was too late! They kept my $700 down payment and would not refund me! That said they wouldn't give it back because they had to cancel or pay the third party movers. Well, two weeks later after I had already Rented a U Haul to move it myself, I got a phone call from some guy who said he was contracted by Eagle Moving Company to move our belongings. I had already argued in depth with Eagle MC two weeks prior and cancelled with them to get part of my money back. They said they would call and cancel their movers, the didn't. They didn't even tell the third party movers about me cancelling with them. What a scam they are. I'm over 62 years old and a senior citizen. They caused me to have severe chest pains and anxiety over there fraudulent actions. They are nothing but liars and crooks!!! Resolution Sought I want my $700 back.

Hired this company to move shop equipment from NY to VA. They were told equipment was heavy and large. Came to pick up July 26,2023. We were told they could not take order as it was to big and too heavy. Movers called their boss who said they could take it for an additional 5,000 to load it and may have to charge additional money before it was unloaded in Virginia. . We told them we didn't have that much. They called their boss and I was put on phone. I was told by the man on the phone he would put in for a refund but it may take several months to get refund. I called them in December to find out about my refund and they told me I had to fill out a refund form. I filled it out and got a return e mail telling me I waited too long to request a refund. Like I said earlier I was told the day of pick up that he was putting in for a refund for me. I fell like I have been scammed. I would like to report this company for scamming people. And hopefully it will save someone else from getting scammed.
