I made an ACH payment for my power bill on March 7th via the Georgia Power website. The bill was due on March 12th, everything on the Georgia Power website stated that my payment had been cleared. Today I received a notice stating there will be a late charge, upon further investigation I had notice the amount had not been deducted from my bank account. I have since made another payment in the same amount over the phone so that it would be recorded and documented, however the website still shows a $30 late fee. I have reached out to their customer service phone number and have not been able to get in touch with a single human being, just automated phone responses. I had also reached out to BillMatrix which handles their payments and they stated they do not handle the ACH payments for Georgia Power. I have looked for a contact email and other phone numbers to reach Georgia Power with no luck. I am using this forum as my last attempt to get ahold of Georgia Power to correct this, ultimately if it is not resolved I will simply pay the $30 late fee even though I do not feel it is justified whatsoever. Any help is much appreciated, thank you Resolution Sought Remove the $30 late fee and explain why the payment was not processed on March 7th , or why the funds were not deducted from my account on March 11th which is the day that the payment was cleared on the Georgia Power website.
