Dealers or individuals do not consign anythig to this auction house

I have not made a habit of reviewing anything for public consumption whether good or bad. In my 64 years of life I only reviewed one entity. However, I feel compelled to speak up on GWS Auctions formerly of Beverly Hills, CA. and now in Agoura Hills, CA. When this company was starting out, years ago, I had consigned several antique items to their auctions. I had even purchased some items too. I usually dealt with one of the owners named Mike Sislyan. Initially customer service was acceptable but when they started advertising Royal Vietnamese estates, and the like, over a year ago service became a thing of the past. Case in point, I had consigned two items to GWS Auctions for sale in April, 2018. They sold one item right away for $1,100 and the second item did not sell. If one of my consignment items does not sell they typically relist the item in another auction. I heard nothing from GWS Auctions on the disposition of my items so I called, starting in May 2018, Mike and the other owner 25 times over the next nine months. I left messages on both of their published lines. I also sent over a dozen emails to GWS auctions, via their website, in the same time span. Lastly, on January 27, 2019 I sent them a letter to their Agoura Hills office. To date I have not received a response to any of my inquiries. I wanted to know where my proceeds/money was and why i had not been paid. I wanted to know the disposition of the second consignment item because I did not have a clue of what was going on. Also, I had some other high end art I was considering selling but I never heard a word. This is just bad business. at best, the smaller consignors were no longer valuable nor important to them. They have, I guess, bigger fish to fry. At worst, they are simply thieves. Either scenario is deplorable & I would caution anyone doing business with this firm. I will have to pursue another course of action in this matter. I hope this helps.
