BCA's Summary and Analysis:

Complainants allege misleading selling practices, and unauthorized debits from accounts. Customers complain they applied for a pay-day loan on the internet, and as a result, were automatically enrolled in an ID theft protection plan without their authorization. Applicants complain the company deducts $31.98 from their checking accounts monthly for the service. According to complainants, the company refuses to issue refunds, and advises them if they had read the terms and conditions of the payday loan agreement they would have been aware of the monthly charges. In other cases, customers complain they merely clicked on the website, and clicked out, but the company still deducted the monthly charge from their account.

The company responds to some complaints by agreeing to cancel services, and issue refunds or credits to accounts. In other cases, the company offers apologies, and states they have insufficient information to research the complaint, and request that customers provide additional information such as bank account numbers to facilitate a resolution. Some complainants dispute that they actually have received promised refunds or credits. Some complaint responses did not address the complainants allegations, and were returned to the company for reconsideration.
