Wasted time and money - BBB next

Signed contract and paid $7k upfront in fees to get started in Feb 2023. Had back taxes from 2011-2014 that I wanted help in negotiating. Had trouble with filings of returns from 2018-2020 that I needed help with getting processed and completed. All of them had credits coming back that could have been applied toward my back taxes. The only other thing I asked was that they halt the IRS during the negotiation process from freezing my asset accounts or putting a lien on my house. I was told that was standard upon filing their petition. End result - I finally called the IRS directly a few months ago. No negotiations had ever taken place. They told me I wouldn't have been eligible for any type of relief due to my income level. So I was dragged along for almost 3 years. I incurred continual penalties of interest in the interim, got no help in any relief, and then when I asked for a full payoff (due to the fact that I took matters into my own hands), they emailed me a number. I finally got frustrated, as I needed a formal payoff. They never got me one. I called the IRS directly, and I had a complete payoff in 15 minutes. It was $4k less than the dollar amount ITS gave me. So what were they going to do with that extra money? My 3 years of recent returns that could/should have provided credits against those balances were never touched and I got no help. They are still sitting out in nowhere land. I've filed all of them 3 times now. So the basic end result was that I spent $7k that I could have used toward the payoff, incurred $4k in extra interest due, got $4k off the payoff myself vs what they provided to me, and didn't get a dime credited back to me except for the 2021 return credit that I did get processed on my own. PS - the reason I needed a payoff was because the IRS filed a lien against my house (no communication from the IRS that it was happening). I would advise anyone and everyone against ever paying a penny to this place.

Worthless waste of time and money

I became a client in March 2021, and paid them $5000 in monthly installments. They were supposed to file my unfiled tax returns, and negotiate with the IRS on my behalf. As of July, it's been like pulling teeth to get them to respond to my emails and phone calls. As an added bonus, I'm still getting threatening letters from the IRS, leading me to believe that this company has done NOTHING to help my situation, and I've flushed $5000 down the toilet giving it to these people. Now I'm left having to negotiate with the IRS myself, and figure out how to sue a company that's literally across the country from where I live. 0/10, would not do again. Ideal Tax Solutions is a joke. They just blow warm smoke up your backside, take your money, and do nothing to help your situation.
