BCA's Summary and Analysis:

Complainants allege unauthorized charges appear on their telephone bills for Internet services and when they dispute the billings they are informed that someone authorized the service and the company has a recording to prove it. Some customers requested to hear the recordings and after listening found that their actual conversation had been partially taped over, the voice on the recording was not theirs, or their request was denied. In a few cases, customers allege the company uses deceptive sales tactics by informing customers they are updating their business listing for the phone book in order to obtain a contact's name and position, and later billing them for services. Most complainants requested refunds.

The company generally responds to complaints by cancelling services or making adjustments. In most cases, the company contends they received authorization from the customer and stated that they have a voice log recording of the authorization. The company failed to address allegations that the recordings are altered.
