Defected Bike

I purchased a kent bike that was already put together and with in a month and a half the brakes on the bike would no longer work and my 7 yr old son rolled out in the street he panicked and couldn't stop at the driveway and for a month we were out of town so my son wasn't riding the bike. I've contacted this company about the situation because the bike was still under there warranty and they have refused to replace the bike or give him a gift card to purchase a new one. They stated that they would replace the brakes if I sent in videos and I've submitted pictures and 2 videos and the issue is still not resolved.
