I have had problems with Money Gram several different times over the years. The first time I sent $50.00 to Honduras for Christmas, and the $50.00 was never paid out, and there was no trace of it. Later I sent money to my wife in an emergency also to Honduras, and the Money Gram Office in Honduras would not pay the transfer out stating that too many transfers had been sent that month. Yet, they did take our transfer fee. Supposed to be in minutes, but did not happen. They wanted us to wait for several more days. Now, here is my lasted and most recent problem with Money Gram here below:
Customer Summary5/23/2022
Requesting assistance with the following case and action: Dear Money Gram, I just sent my wife in Honduras $1,000, which is the said transaction herein mentioned below. My wife went to pick up the funds at a Money Gram Office in Honduras, and they told her that the funds were there, but that there was no authorization to pay out the funds. She then went to another Money Gram Office, and they told her that the transaction had been cancelled by Money Gram, and that the funds had been refunded to the sender, which is me. However, the $1,000 taken out of my account by Money Gram has never been refunded. Now you are telling me here that I have to wait 10 days for my $1,000 to be refunded? This is unacceptable, as the funds were sent due to a Medical Emergency, as well as to feed my 8 year old son. You have caused me damages by your actions, and violated the service contract that we agreed upon when I sent the funds, and you agreed to process the service. You failed to process the service, and violated the contract. It takes about 2 to 5 minutes to refund the $1,000 that you are holding electronically. There is no legitimate reason for Money Gram to hold my $1,000 that was for an emergency, for 10 days, and therefore causing my family damages. Therefore, I am filing a lawsuit against Money Gram, unless Money Gram pays me $1,000 (One Thousand) dollars a day for the 10 days in damages, for the 10 days that Money Gram is holding my funds unjustifiably.
