BCA's Summary and Analysis:

Complainants allege the company uses bait & switch tactics. Customers complain they agree to purchase tires, rims or accessories at a pre-determined price. After the company receives their money, the customers receive a call notifying them of additional previously undisclosed fees are necessary to complete the transaction. In some cases, these fees are reportedly in excess of $500. Complainants allege if they attempt to cancel their order as a result of the additional fees, the company subtracts a 20% re-stocking fee from their refund amount. Other customers complain they place orders with assurances by the company that the items are in stock, however, after the company has the money, they receive notification that the items ordered are on back order for 4 to 6 weeks. Some report receiving two such notices extending backorder time to 12 weeks. Some customers claim they are offered substitute merchandise, the option to wait, or receive a refund les a 20% restocking fee.

The company responds to most complaints by advising that orders have been shipped. Allegations of bait & switch tactics and misrepresentation regarding stock availability are generally not addressed. In some cases, the company issues refunds or partial refunds.
