Tricking you into 'ordering toner'
My name is listed as a someone who ordered toner, but I was not given authorization to make ANY ORDERS at the time when I supposedly placed this order. I spoke to the 'president' Renee Schwartz and told her I thought this was ridiculous and she said it was suspicious that she had to call me for a 'past due' payment but, I had never called her to get the toner back or for a refund. Regrettably, at the time, I had explained that to the company we were without an office manager because our previous one had suddenly left so, we weren't aware of any orders made in the past. I regret saying that because I feel like they saw a window and completely took advantage of the situation. This phone call was when I, allegedly, placed an order. I feel like they used this information as a tactic to order toner for our company knowing we were confused by what our previous office manager had ordered and from who. I asked to speak to a supervisor, or anyone else because she was extremely rude to me after I had complained and she had informed me she was the president and I could speak to no one else. The company we lease our copier from sends us free toner and warned us against this company, and another one who had called around the same time, because they had other customers who had similar complaints. They were told they placed orders and were sent toners and threatened to be sent to collections if they didn't pay. They told us this company, and the other, were known as 'toner sharks'or 'toner pirates'. They harass offices all the time asking for your copier information and then send you the toner and a bill because the phone call is an order being placed. My staff and I are beyond furious that this is even allowed to happen. We were at a vulnerable business standpoint and we were completely taken advantage of. DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY ANY INFORMATION. I WOULD CONSIDER THIS A SCAM.
