Customer Complaint

I recently bought a new car and drove it home last business hours of the leasing office. I did however, inform them that I was in the midst of purchasing a new vehicle and that I would be in the next day to reapply for a parking permit. Now here's the kicker, the night I brought the car home was the same night it got towed. I spoke with Raynette, whom was very rude and discourteous in her approach to mediate the issue. When I go to explain the situation, she immediately got defensive and was told that there was a listing by the complex of which cars to pick up…which was funny because there are still several cars in violation, while my new one was not. She even proceeded to argue with me that the company was the primary parking company, whereas my complex had one before the sham of a company. She misrepresented her company's policies and when we asked to speak with a manager, she denied that request and hung up the phone.. only for her to text back "I told my manager that you would call him back to speak to him." Totally unacceptable! I had to pay 710 dollars the same day to get my car from the repo lot. I live in vista and it was sent to Oceanside. This company owes it to me and themselves to either be better or shut down. I have also since left a formal complaint with the BBB, to my surprise, this company has an F rating and no accreditation. Resolution Sought I would like compensation for the money that was lost because of poor communication and negligent behavior in part of the company. To that end, I want compensation of lot fee and compensation for my out of pocket expense due their actions and inadequate service. I will not accept less 1000.00, but I am requesting the full compensation stated, since this was a new vehicle towed.

Company Response

It's funny that they provide no documentation of the interaction with the office, not any name of a manager they spoke with, only name calling. They can make up conversations that never happened and details that are fabricated. Had they actually spoke with someone in their management they would have been instructed to contact this sham of a company to prevent the inevitable sequence of events and the need to respond to such a vitriolic and Cleary unhappy person. From the tone of their complaint I can only imagine the attitude on display to the person answering the phone. We dont have any list of vehicles to pick up but do have a database of all vehicles that are registered and with active permits allowed to park on the property. This system is open to the residents and is how they register prior to moving into the community. 24 hours a day they can enter their vehicle into their profile and purchase a new permit to prevent TOWING! My resolution would be for the individual to stop fabricating conversations to make them seem more like a victim, act like an adult and follow the rules. NO ONE SHOULD VERBALLY ABUSE AN EMPLOYEE OF A COMPANY BECUASE OF THEIR OWN FAILURES. Maybe they could learn to be nice and not call people names.

This is no fabrication. When I spoke with the representative raynette at the timing of the call, a) there was no name calling . I was referenced with the manager name being Michael, however, that was via text message after being hung up after having been denied the request to speak to said manager. B) during the timing of this call, I wasn’t given any straight answers as to why the car was towed and was looking for clarity in the company’s policy, which again the representative Raynette, failed define. Lastly, as a long time resident here at Softwind Point, what I find insulting is that the company is resulting to defaming a tenant as they cannot admit fault in their behaivor. No one was called out of their name and not a single but of proof is offered to define as such. Now as an adult, since you seem that I am not acting like one, I can see that again this company is doubling down on their status as being one of the worst in the county with an F rating, and therefore being uncredited. All I asked was why not issue a ticket and the call went south from there. Oh and since we are the subject of adulthood, adults don’t hang up on clients with and issues. Practice what you preach

Company Final Response

A.) These are not our policies! They are the community parking policy that you have agreed to to park within the community. We are tasked to enforce your agreed to terms. B.) You were told the reason but denied responsibility for the result of the failure to once again follow the rules you had previously agreed to. C.) We are the primary and only Parking Company for Softwind Point. She was accurate and is still a statement of fact, so it would seem the only person creating an argument would be the individual without the correct information claiming to know the real truth. D.) Under California law we are not allowed to give citations to vehicles who have not had the vehicle owner sign a consent agreement. Your parking policy clearly states in plain English the consequences of parking an unregistered vehicle on the property, to which you have agreed ro in the affirmative. E.) You fail to state the AAA RATING we enjo with the company to which you are seeking resolution from. Yeah us!! The BBB is nothing other than the first yelp. We will not engage with them since they took our A+ rating and down graded it because they sent a complaint to a competitor and it wasn't responded
