Be more aware you are dealing with human beings. Shared ride should not mean shut up and take it.
I am disabled and I am in the Pace bus share a ride program. Sunday, my ride was scheduled for a 5:48 pickup to 250 E. Superior St. The Van was there at 5:40 so I got in ready to go no problem. We had another passenger to pick up so that was fine. Now I'm at 7300 S. Southshore,t he added passenger was at 6900 Southshore. We were at that pickup at 5:55. But the problem was that pick up was scheduled for 6:30 .Which meant I would have to wait 35 minutes in the in the van. After me asking the driver several times to call to see if the person could come down. The dispatcher finally called and the person came down at 6:20. When the driver called the dispatcher the first time the dispatcher screamed so I would hear it "tell miss flowers it's a shared ride and she has to wait. Now on 10-31 I had a 4pm pick up and they did not come till 6:45pm. 2 weeks ago I had 7:45 pick up from 250 E. Superior.and the did not come till 9pm. These are two examples but I have too many to share. So a shared ride with Pace means if Pace is late too bad. And it is d***** ridiculous. Be more aware you are dealing with human beings just because we are handicapped does not mean we can be treated anyway and not say something about it. Shared ride should not mean shut up and take it.

Pace continue to mistreat our disable veterans.
Pace continue to mistreat our disable veterans. They have them sit and wait to be picked up and never show up. So when you call to find out where they are it's a 2 hour wait when it wasn't there fault. First time it was a new driver that didn't know how to get the ramp down. So the disable vet had to sit in the rain for 2 hours waiting for another ride. Then today he had to sit for 2 hours for another ride. This is a routine trip every Saturday nothing had changed. Please help or disable veteran. We need to speak up and speak out for them. They also charge a fee and pay like regular people. Treat our disable veterans better And own up to there error. Please don't have them waiting hours for another ride especially when it is there mistake. Also when you make a complaint please notify the family.
