I was recommended to Planet Doggiewood by a neighbor after my dog was treated poorly by another groomer. The staff there is very kind, friendly and loving to not only myself, but treated my dog like their own. My dog is a troubled unfriendly doggy, he can be very upset and mean towards people. There groomer took the time to open their schedule so they can have one on one time with him. Needless to say after 4 yrs of horrible grooms typically his face never getting groomed, she called me 3 hrs later happily telling me he was all done and did great and I could come get him. Upon arriving I had pictured him looking horrible as he had many times before from the other grooming shop. As to my surprise, he looked amazing!! The groomer told me she sat on the floor with him for a while, let him get to know her and the shop before grooming him. She took her time while grooming and when he would get upset about something she would stop and give him a moment and do something else. Needless to say I was amazed to hear, she ended up grooming him on her lap, cause that is where he felt safe. There is no other grooming shop that would ever go that extra mile. And for the first time, "Buddy" was so happy, he even gave her kisses before we left. I had never seen him so kind with anyone, except myself. I would recommend them highly, especially to anyone that has a "troubled" pet, like Buddy. It's amazing what a little kind hearted time can do.
