In February, went right before the store closed, I notice a female employee gathering carts, carts were lined up in the entry, making it difficult to get into the store. I entered the store, it was not busy since it was almost closing. Went to wash my hands, and then got what I needed and went to the line to check out. An employee and a plain clothed man walk towards me, while I was standing inline she stops ( the woman that was bringing in the carts) the man walked up to me stating "we observed you with a cart, where is it now" he asked if he could look in my purse, I said sure, he said Ok, I asked for a copy of the tape since it was on camera, he did not say anything so I said call the police, I kept asking what is going on. I asked for the supervisor. The cashier told me that the lady bringing in the carts in is the supervisor. Turns out the man is not an employee, he was a customer. They allowed him to come up to me and check my purse. I asked for the number for the manager, they gave me the number to waste management. I gave them my name and number, they never called me. The supervisor told me she had never seen me before, I asked her if she sees everyone in the store. She said I had a "vibe" about me, I told her she did too! On February 24 at 3:30 pm or about 4:00 pm I was shopping at smart & final store located on Redondo and 6th St. in the city of Long Beach while shopping I was approached by a store employee asking me about what I was doing in the store I told her I was shopping. She then said she would have to asking me to leave the store for no apparent reason saying she could check the camera as if I had commented a crime. I told her I had not did anything wrong and would be making a complaint, she said she didn't care. Resolution Sought Talk to the employee about the harassment of customer's thank you.
