I hired them to replace my roof due to storm damage. I told them insurance is paying for it. They came out to give me an estimate which was higher than the insurance. They nicely brought the price down to meet the insurance price. They noticed & I told them before work started, I that I had 2 or 3 layers of roof. Insurance included that in their price. I picked out a color. I was told that it was discontinued. I picked out another color. I found out that when the roof was completed that a totally different color was put on. If I wanted the 2nd color I picked out I would have to pay again upfront. What? I I have to pay for their color mistake? That does not seem right. They started the work. Had most of the shingles off my roof. All of a sudden I get a text message stating I have 2 layers of roof at 2800 square feet. So that's going to be an extra $2800 w/ extra dump fees. They only went to the dump 1 time. What choice did I have but to text back OK. Than I get another text stating that I had dry rot. There was another $2800. I have no bill for that. So I have no idea what I would be paying for. There is an area in my garage ceiling where you can see the underlayment. They put no wood around it. There was wood there before, they won't fix it. My insurance company & I have asked about 30 times for itemized bills as there is a price discrepancy. They say they will send them but never do. We can't pay them without receipts. Ive been cleaning up their roofing mess for weeks. Resolution Sought I would like the itemized bills and all receipts so my insurance and I know what we are paying for. I would like to have the area in my garage fixed where there is no wood, where there was wood before. I feel I should be compensated, price dropped as 1) I was charged for dump runs that did not happen 2) for their mistake on ordering and putting on the wrong roof color, and for spending hours upon hours cleaning up their mess. I had planned on painting my trim to match my roof. Now I can't.
