TEAC Corporation was Disappointing

My experience with TEAC Corporation with respect to one of their recorders was very disappointing. I had tried to work through the company that sold the unit to me without any success, so I decided to go to TEAC, the manufacturer. They did not try very hard to contact me, and when I finally heard from them, I sent the unit back to them at their request. I did not know whether the recorder was defective or I did not have it set up correctly. They returned the unit to me with an indication of the packing slip that they had downloaded something to resolve the issue. I did not even receive the courtesy of a letter of explanation. The unit in question was a TASCAM recorder DR-07MKII. It was sold to me defective. I would definitely not recommend this recorder or the manufacturer to anyone and will purchase any future recorders locally so that I can easily communicate and resolve any issues. I chose 1 star below because I could not choose no stars.
