Complaint Resolution Index (CRI) Explained The Complaint Resolution Index (CRI) is an indicator on how responsive a company is in addressing and resolving customer complaints brought to their attention by BCA. TEAC Corporation was Disappointing

My experience with TEAC Corporation with respect to one of their recorders was very disappointing. I had tried to work through the company that sold the unit to me without any success, so I decided to go to TEAC, the manufacturer. They did not try very hard to contact me, and when I finally heard from them, I sent the unit back to them at their request. I did not know whether the recorder was defective or I did not have it set up correctly. They returned the unit to me with an indication of the packing slip that they had downloaded something to resolve the issue. I did not even receive the courtesy of a letter of explanation. The unit in question was a TASCAM recorder DR-07MKII. It was sold to me defective. I would definitely not recommend this recorder or the manufacturer to anyone and will purchase any future recorders locally so that I can easily communicate and resolve any issues. I chose 1 star below because I could not choose no stars.
