I refused to do business with a dishonest operation.

On Sunday, the Manager gave me a price on a previously sold and damaged Trek 7 of 8 off. I asked if he could do better and he said his boss would let him go up to 10 off. I said I would take the bike for $6000 (which was just shy of 10 off) and he agreed to a deal. On Monday, three hours into my drive down to get my bike the Manager called and said his boss (Cat) would only go to 8 after he agreed to sell it to me for $6,000 on Sunday. He was very apologetic that the authority his boss had given him on Sunday was not honored. I asked to speak to his his boss (Cat) as I felt it was a bait and switch, especially angered by the fact I was already 3+ hours into my drive to go pick my bike up. When I said to Cat we had agreed on a price of $6,000 she said he thought I was agreeing to 6 off. I said to Cat why would she think I'd take less of a discount than the started 8 discount the Manager offered originally.... She was obviously grabbing for straws at this point. She refused to budge and I refused to do business with a dishonest operation, specifically Cat. Be honest with future buyers and honor her managers commitments. i will never do business again as long as Cat is in charge!
