BCA's Summary and Analysis:

Complainants generally allege the company offered employment as a mystery shopper via an email, however after review of the offer they did not provide the credit information but the company attempted to collect using threats as much as $75 for early termination. The customer complained that they never agreed to the service, did not use it, and could not contact anyone at the company. In some cases, customers who signed up for the service report not receiving any employment. One customer reportedly was given an assignment to make a purchase at a major department store and was to be reimbursed for the item purchased plus $5 in earnings. The customer was not comfortable and contacted the department store and was told that they do not hire mystery shoppers and would not hire them in this fashion.

The company responds to few complaints by stating that the customer signed up and is committed to pay, at a minimum, their fee of some $20 or $30 and that in some cases if they terminated early they owe the company $75.

Comments and Analysis

This company offers the opportunity to obtain certification and employment as a mystery shopper. Respondents are asked to pay $30 for the first three months and $10 a month every month thereafter. The company promises access to jobs nationwide, as well as, to receive "free stuff", such as; food, tickets, dinners, hotel rooms, and the like.

We advise against signing up for this company's services. This company sends email solicitations offering employment as a mystery shopper, but in fact does not employ anyone. The company's earnings are derived from the sale of memberships to individuals who are seeking the employment.

If any company asks you to pay in advance for employment, be suspicious. Despite any promises or guarantees to the contrary, your refund is not likely to be received.

Other Considerations
