Steven C. Feldman is an abusive lawyer
Attorney Steven C. Feldman from Laguna Niguel, has had his license suspended from practicing law and has been on probation with the California State Bar in 1999, 2007 and 2014. Feldman should be disbarred from practicing law. He is very unethical and unprofessional. He threatens and intimidates witnesses and is very hostile towards adverse parties. He is a bully and will lie and cheat to win. He has a poor reputation in the legal community. Find a lawyer who does not steal clients' money.

Most complainants allege the company does not obtain loan modifications and does not provide the foreclosure assistance they promise. Clients routinely complain that the company fails to keep them informed concerning the status of their cases. Other complainants allege the company repeatedly gave them false or inaccurate information concerning the status of their modification contracts or that the company will not return phone calls or otherwise respond to inquiries concerning the status of their foreclosure proceedings.~~The company generally responds to complaints by stating they completed their contractual obligations and they stand behind their work or that no promises were made to the client. The company responds to a few complaints by issuing refunds of unearned fees.

Effective October, 2009 in California, it is illegal to collect any fees, regardless of the form, for negotiating or attempting to negotiate a loan modification for a residential mortgage. All modification services must be fully completed before any money can be collected. It is also illegal to divide fees or services into components for the purpose of avoiding this law.HUD approved housing counseling agencies are exempt from this law. For businesses outside of California, please check with the agency that regulates this industry.
