Complaint Resolution Index (CRI) Explained The Complaint Resolution Index (CRI) is an indicator on how responsive a company is in addressing and resolving customer complaints brought to their attention by BCA. Of the complaints we have received against this company, in at least some cases, the complaint allegations are very serious.

A few complainants allege the company accepted fees in advance for credit repair and debt negotiation, but failed to provide services. One customer alleges the company initially failed to contact the credit reporting bureaus on their behalf to dispute errors. The company then disputed all credit card entries on the client's report, resulting in legitimate accounts in good standing being removed, thus ruining the clients credit score. A few complaints allege after paying fees, the company failed to make any payments to the credit card company, negotiate settlements, or follow up on their accounts.

The company generally responds to complaints by denying complaint allegations and refund requests. In one case, the company stated they do not provide credit repair services and the client received credit counseling only. In the another case, the company stated the client did not provide requested information and would not return calls. The client disputed the response indicating the company only negotiated one of their debts, acted unprofessionally, and failed to keep them apprised of their account status. The company responds to another case by stating the client did not pay for services and explaining they had reached a settlement for one of the customers accounts.

We advise caution. Our experience with similar companies allege that creditors continue to harass them, their credit is worse than before, creditors were not contacted, and sued for payment. Generally, these types of companies rely on lump sum payments, which requires consumers to withhold payment for an extended period of time. It is during this time that the creditors will likely take steps to secure payment, such as: telephone calls, derogatory credit reporting, arbitrations or law suits.

The California Credit Services Act requires companies advertising credit repair services to register with the Attorney General and post a $100,000 bond. Even if registered, the Act prohibits the practice of collecting payment before providing services.
